A downloadable game for Windows

The setting is an alternate 1950s history shaped by the very real influence of the supernatural. You play Paixley, once a member of Howard Carter’s famous expedition to discover the tomb of Tutankhamun, now a private investigator who specializes in the supernatural (‘Weirds’).

Operating out of New Seattle, Paixley returns to their office to find a taped off crime scene – impossibly, they themselves appear to be the murder victim. This is the first case and constitutes the scope of the planned demo.

Weirds Eye is a learning project in early development.  It is currently missing assets and is unfinished, and is mostly made available as a showcase.

The cigarettes are genius and I loved the hover footnotes over the regular text. Overall the game looks like an enjoyable world to spend time in, psyched to see where it goes 💯

Very immersive, and absolutely oozes that noir atmosphere. I think this one is absolutely a gem in the rough. Looking forward to more!

I love noir fiction, and this caters to that. Atmosphere is built very well, and the writing is top notch. Brings to mind Disco Elysium and Call of Cthulhu - to expand on the latter, not the mythos itself, but the spirit of Jazz Age investigator scenarios from the TTRPG. A couple bugs here and there, thus saving often is a good idea. The cigarette function is extremely satisfying. Didn't manage to solve the case with my clues and deductions, but I will play around with them a bit more! Hoping for more cases to come.
